Places orders for varieties of materials/supplies. Recommends and implements improvements in the purchasing (make/buy) process. May select and negotiate with approved vendords. Reviews bids and contracts submitted before orders are placed. Has authority to commit company to purchase within approved guidelines. May recommend appropriate materials, and/or techniques to carry out a specified sequence of sub-contract tasks. Provides product support, manufacturing support, failure analysis in the drive for continuous improvement. May assist technical support teams in testing new applications and problem solving.
