Lincoln Industrial is the global leader in the design and manufacture of lubrication and fluid pumping products and systems for the industrial and automotive marketplace.

We have a challenging opportunity at our St. Louis HQ for a BUYER. Responsibilities include:

*Develop sources of supply for raw materials, purchased parts, maintenance repairs and operating supplies
*Negotiate Blanket Contracts and pricing for purchased items
*Expedite and assure vendor performance to delivery schedules
*Ensure Engineering change orders are processed and communicated to suppliers
*Update pricing of inventory items for standard costs
*Resolve pricing and quality variances
*Act as conduit for introduction of new materials and processes
*Arrange transportation for imported product
*Negotiate payments through letters of credit and wire transfers
*Willingness to conduct business across time zones
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include 4 yr Technical or Business degree or equivalent, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material, sourcing capabilities, unique customers and trade practices with international suppliers,foreign exchange rates and impact on prices, C-TPAT and its requirement. Ability to read blueprints. Fluency in 2nd language a plus. International travel required; must be able to obtain passport and visas. At least 5 years of solid purchasing experience in an industrial environment.
