We are currently seeking a buyer in our corporate office in Edina, MN. This Associate procures all items for assigned vendors with following responsibilities:- Buy items for assigned vendors at the lowest possible price.
- Maintain company standards for fill rate to retail customers.
-Maintain accurate, comprehensive data in current buying system.
-Purchase merchandise on a timely basis with the least lead time possible.
-Review and maintain seasonality for merchandise assigned.
-Maintain inventory at budget. Maintain turns at budget.-Display consistent and effective use of daily, weekly, periodic and annual reports.
-Responsible for identifying and removing aged inventory from DCs.-Responsible for working with merchandisers and Divisions to remove DWO inventory from the DCs.-Determine needed promotional quantities for ad lift on all assigned vendors within the team.
-Prioritize delivery schedule report and communicate with Customer Service team.
-Participate in all cross-team communications. Maintain open communications with Procurement Manager, Division Merchandisers, vendors and Customer Service representatives.
-Assist in training and developing the Inventory Analyst and Administrative support personnel.
-Review and analyze inbound transportation opportunities.
-Practice good communication skills with Distribution Centers, vendors and management.
-Handle all other projects and duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
-Four-year college degree preferred.
-Two years minimum previous procurement experience.
-Strong analytical ability.
-PC competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.
