We are looking for a talented and committed individual to join our team of professionals dedicated to producing the finest quality parts in our industry.

We are currently seeking a buyer who will be responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of purchased materials and tooling from approved suppliers, while adhering to core values of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Responsibilities:

Issue, monitor and maintain purchase orders.
Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely availability and receipt of materials and tooling.
Ability to stay organized and to resolve logistic problems with suppliers.
Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers to effectively manage the entire procurement process.
Work with production manager to meet production schedules.
Negotiate supplier terms, price, quality, payment and freight.
Work with accounting to resolve any discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels, maintain traceability.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

3-5 years significant purchasing experience in a manufacturing, machining environment.
Experience with metals and machining tooling.
Strong negotiating skills and PC literacy with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings a plus.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Familiarity with ISO9001:2000, AS9100, TS16949 quality systems.
