Interpore Cross International, a Biomet company, an ISO 13485 certified and leader focused on the development and production of osteobiologic materials for orthopedic surgical applications located in Irvine, California and has the following opportunity available for a qualified individual.

BUYER

Position is responsible for the planning and procurement of materials, supplies and service to support specific product line(s). Candidate would work closely with production, engineering and support groups to assure that components and materials are ordered in a timely manner to assure availability as required for manufacturing schedule. Would negotiate purchase orders and agreements and lead sourcing activity as well as act as liaison to suppliers for quality problems. Resolve payment disputes and serve as the main focus for communications between the company and its outside suppliers. Work special assignments as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in materials management, business or related field. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a technical purchasing function. Human Tissue, Tissue Bank, or Biologic experience highly desirable. Excellent communications skills and intermediate computer skills. MRP/ERP experience required. (Mapics Extended ERP system a plus). Knowledge of GMP and ISO 9001 preferred. CMP or CPIM a plus.
