Buyer

Procures goods and commercial services and/or administers purchase orders of low dollar value, risk and complexity. Typically works on or places orders with a value up to $25,000. May work on higher value orders with oversight from more senior staff. Typically, commitments are for routine orders which may not require review. Works on assignments that are of low to moderate complexity. Interacts daily with supervisor, functional peer groups, and internal customers. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.


Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent school/work experience. 3-5 years of overall working experience. Experience working in purchasing using computer based MRP systems. Strong negotiation skills and supplier development experience. Good communication skills. Good computer skills.
