Buyer

Duties:
Seeking a Buyer with prior experience in field and have the ability to work with diverse personalities. Other qualities
include good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

· Initiate requests for quotes, manage supplier contracts and monitor key performance indicators. Manage quality, cost,
delivery and responsiveness for suppliers. Act as point of contact for the supplier.
· Experience with purchasing raw material, electronic components, machined components, forging, castings, and
subcontract services.
· Continually monitor critical item status and reports on key item drivers with up to date information.
· Proactive in ensuring equipment, services and supplies to arrive on time to support requirements.
· Resolve accounting, receiving, and quality issues to ensure timely acceptance and payment of goods and services.
· Maintain supplier relations and partnerships, monitor purchase prices to meet cost reduction goals.
· Manage and reconcile open vendor order reports.
· Recommend process and procedure changes required to improve overall supply chain efficiency.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors Degree, or 2-4 + years of equivalent experience in related field.
* Previous experience should include a manufacturing environment.
* Must be well organized with good analytical, computer and communication skills.
* Leadership skills, to be viewed as a leader within the company.
