BUYER / Purchasing / Procurement

Priority Staffing is a locally owned staffing company located in the Southwest suburbs that is recruiting for a short term (30 days +/-) contract opportunity as a buyer in a industrial (refinery) setting.

This Position requires a strong working knowledge of purchasing, including pricing negotiations, interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment. The successful candidate will prepare requests for quotation, expedite orders, prepare purchase orders, obtain confirmation from suppliers that RFQ’s and orders are being worked on and maintain and/or update Purchase Order Filing and Project Tracking Reports. SAP familiarity is required!
REQUIREMENTS
Some of the responsibilities involved will be to:

•Coordinate smooth transitional purchasing activity for a large facility
•Negotiate competitive pricing and purchasing contracts to meet cost, quality and delivery goals
•Develop and achieve cost reduction goals through effective supplier selection and negotiation
