Eagle Test Systems is a highly successful, growing NASDAQ traded company that is a leader in the manufacturing of automatic test equipment. We have an immediate need for a Buyer – MRO & Capital, who will be based at our world headquarters in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

The primary purpose of this position is to procure all Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies (MRO), Capital purchases, and services in a cost effective and timely manner to support functional and corporate objectives.

Functional responsibilities include:
identify suppliers
obtain purchase price quotations
negotiate total cost and favorable commercial terms
and process approved purchase requisitions

Additionally, identify areas of recurring purchases and establish programs, and work with the Finance Department to establish purchase activity reports and to issue summary updates to management regularly.

The Ideal candidate will have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field and possess a minimum of 2 years of related experience of purchasing MRO & Capital, preferably in a large manufacturing environment. Professional certifications are a plus (CPM or APP).

To be successful in this challenging, newly created position, you will need to have strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize your individual workload, while working effectively in a team environment are also essential. Other requirements include: knowledge and proficiency of purchasing systems; experience in negotiating with various corporate environments; and attention to details, data, processes and procedures.
