Associate Dir. Procurement

As an Associate Director, you will monitor and manage overall performance to service levels by procurement service provider for the assigned region (e.g. North America) and ensure that delivered service meets the strategic and tactical needs of the business. You will participate in regular team reviews of functional service level agreements for the previous reporting period and support the development of new service levels and metrics as needed. You will ensure that the terms and conditions of the Agreement are satisfied, ensure the service provider complies with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices and Company values and adheres to relevant laws and regulations and help ensure that procurement service provider's processes are reasonably auditable. You will function as a focal point for communication between procurement service provider and Global Strategic Sourcing, end-users and business units (and other functional organizations) within the assigned region. You will help develop and implement communication and training programs in support of the shared services model and help report service level performance and seek feedback to improve service delivery and internal customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate on strategic planning for retained and outsourced activities. You will resolve service delivery issues and disputes with procurement service provider, track service performance and identify trends in order to proactively prevent service delivery issues. You will help identify potential shared services opportunities within Wyeth across assigned region. In coordination with functional owners, you will implement shared services model for opportunistic procurement activities. You will oversee planning and forecasting of service consumption, help validate procurement service provider invoices and work with Wyeth departments/functions to resolve any chargeback discrepancies.This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Business or Technical discipline (M.B.A. is preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or materials management. Previous experience of managing a similar procurement process outsourcing or major process transformation project is key. Previous pharmaceutical industry, service provider, or managing service provider experience is a plus.
