Assistant Planning Manager

The Assistant Planning Manager is a key support in executing the plans, managing the inventory and driving the profitability of their department within the business channel. They are responsible for driving sales and margin through the forecasting and management of inventory at the SKU level (this includes catalog, imedia, and other non-catalog demand).
Core Accountabilities:The Assistant Planning Manager is responsible for managing the SKU level inventory investment to maximize productivity and fulfilment in order to achieve planned sales, and margin dollars. This includes SKU level forecasts, placing the buy, and reactiving to current business by re-buying and liquidating inventory.
Generating reports and analysis to assist the planner (including business analysis and open to buy reporting).
Proactively identifying SKU level risks and opportunities, proposing solutions.
Work with EBI partners to place the buy, ensure accurate purchase orders and responsible for all incoming shipments to stock to maximize fulfillment.
Special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Required 4 year college degree preferred or at least 2 years in a retail/catalog buying/planning capacity preferably with a multi channel retailer.
Strong analytical skills
Computer proficient in spreadsheet applications such as Excel.
