Assistant Buyer - Plus Knit Tops

Job Description • The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
•supporting the Buyer in all phases of implementation and execution of corporate sourcing
•working with PD, Planning, Store Analysis, and Traffic and Logistics
•preparing orders, markdowns and purchase orders, and keying in initial work charts for programs
•maintaining fax library and communicating fax information as assigned
•monitoring program changes and preparing changes for system input via data entry
•communicating with vendors regarding shipments
•assisting with fittings
•assisting in maintenance of sample room
•performing various other duties as assignedJob Requirements
Job Qualifications:
•understanding of assortment planning
•understanding of Arthur and open-to-buy as well as merchandising reports
•above average communication skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively relate information to all levels of management in various departments
•excellent organizational skills and a proven willingness to accept and perform numerous and various work assignments
•ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and complete work assignments accurately and on a timely basis
•familiarity with Lotus and E-Mail
