Ultrasonographer

Assists in providing diagnostic care to the patient through providing quality ultrasound examinations, working autonomously, while under indirect supervision of the medical staff. Provides preliminary interpretations of ultrasound examinations and provides information regarding the findings, including limitations and capabilities of each exam modality. Participates in the correlation of test results for quality control purposes. Provides appropriate maintenance of equipment and insures accurate records keeping. Assumes responsibility for own professional development, through inhouse and outside professional activities. Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of Baptist Hospital and within the legal framework of the State of Tennessee.
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of high school or equivalent OR completion of associated allied health care program. Minimum of six months diagnostic ultrasound experience OR one year clinical healthcare experience. RDMS or eligible preferred. Must attempt registry within 2(two) years of employment and attempt annually thereafter.
