Supply Planner

The Supply Planner will provide support for the demand planning function to satisfy customer service expectations. Focus will be on inventory replenishment for selected vendors and categories in order to meet service level and availability expectations. Associate will also manage relationships with suppliers to provide overall product availability.

Position Responsibilities

Main responsibilities of the Supply Planner include:Core SKU maintenance and updates to provide insights into stock status of an item. Ensure accurate recommended buys utilizing various systems. Work with the Demand Planner to support the At-Risk initiative. Establish and maintain communication across all channels of distribution. Participate in providing feedback and recommendations for SKU-rationalization, advertising, and MSP's. Work with the supplier base to maximize results of CPFR (Collaboration, Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment). Maintain safety stock time and VCS/purchase pack parameters. Effectively communicate to other members of buying team. PO Tracking: Create purchase orders and monitor stock levels. Summarize demand from multiple warehouses and produce expediting and status reports. Analyze the Category Outs report to provide insight into the Top 25 out of stock items. Manage normal planned replenishment functions from distribution to store. Manage priority expedites in regards to receiving direction to the PMAX (PowerMax) or consolidated Distribution Centers. Backorder management. Provide updates for various service level metrics. Supporting Ad Readiness for all ads and promotional activity Audit forecast integrity for all categories in order to raise alerts to the Demand Planners for discrepancies. Quantitative Dimensions

Maintains adequate inventory levels to satisfy customer demand. If a shortage occurs, Supply Planner will go through the necessary steps to ensure merchandise or similar product is available.
REQUIREMENTS
College degree or equivalent work experience.1-2 years purchasing experience and/or retail purchasing experience."PC" literate, especially in MS Word, Excel, Access.Excellent organization and planning skills, with an eye for detail.Research and problem-solving skills necessary.Strong desire to support internal/external customers.Excellent written and verbal communication.Candidate must also be flexible, open and responsive to change.Demonstrated flexibility in current position
