Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)

Full Time and Per Diem Positions available for Nights 12-hour Shifts. Per Diem Positions available on Days.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, an RCP I will provide respiratory care appropriate to the area of assignment, adult and pediatric.

Essential Functions:
1.Delivers care consistent with department policies and procedures utilizing all medications and devices safely and accurately. Performs complete patient assessment and makes recommendations for appropriate therapy.
2.Educates patients, families, and health care team on pertinent aspects of Respiratory Care.
3.Follows up with thorough appropriate documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Position Qualifications:
•Education:
-Certification from a Respiratory Therapy Program.
-Effective 7/1/00 required completion of 2-year certificate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.

•Experience:
One year critical care experience in adult intensive care

•License / Certification: Current California RCP license, current BLS certification/PALS

Preferred Position Qualifications:
•Pediatric experience and EKG experience; knowledgeable in pulmonary function testing.
