Purchasing Assistant

Position Purpose:Assist Purchasing Manager with various tasks including invoicing, bidding of signage projects, coordination of signage projects with visual merchandisers, tracking and organization of projects, and maintenance of on-line replenishment system. Purchasing Assistant will help to ensure all rollouts are delivered with the utmost highest standards of on time delivery and completeness.Primary Job Functions:- Assist in resolving store issues and needs, communication with stores and district managers.- Assist with coordinating signage requirements with internal departments to ensure store consistency.- Assist in coordinating with outside services and vendors to secure the most cost and time effective signage.- Assist in coordinating shipping and distribution of signage to stores.- Assist in communicating placement and usage of signage in stores.- Perform invoice match to ensure invoices are paid correctly.- Track invoices to maintain budget awareness at all times.- Coordinate with visual merchandisers to maintain budget schedule.- Communicate within department to ensure that direction or requests are consistent with company or department goals. Prerequisite Skills/Experience for this position:- High school diploma and equivalent relevant work experience.- 2-4 years of experience in printing and purchasing environment.- Ability to problem solve, demonstrate strong organizational and detail oriented skills.- Computer skills are necessary (Microsoft Office).- Ability to clearly communicate directives in written form.- Ability to negotiate and coordinate with outside venders on complex programs.- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.- Ability to work well with others.- Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines.- Accounting background a plus.We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V. REQUIREMENTS
Prerequisite Skills/Experience for this position:- High school diploma and equivalent relevant work experience.- 2-4 years of experience in printing and purchasing environment.- Ability to problem solve, demonstrate strong organizational and detail oriented skills.- Computer skills are necessary (Microsoft Office).- Ability to clearly communicate directives in written form.- Ability to negotiate and coordinate with outside venders on complex programs.- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.- Ability to work well with others.- Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines.- Accounting background a plus.
