Public Safety Officers The Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe is accepting applications for lateral Public Safety Officers. The Public Safety Officer protects life and property Maintains peace and order Enforces all applicable tribal laws and ordinances Protects fishing, game and forest tribal rights; Arrests and issues citations to violators Conducts applicable investigations, and provides testimony in court Applicants must have successfully completed a State Police Academy or BIA Police Academy and a FTO program; must be over 21, have a H.S diploma or GED, good driving record, excellent people skills; and must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position. Preference is given for 2 years of police officer experience with a State, City, County, or Tribal law enforcement agency. Reservists are encouraged to apply.
