Morris Architects is seeking candidates to fill two key positions in our Santa Monica office. PROJECT ARCHITECT: The ideal candidate for Project Architect will be a CA licensed individual with degree in architecture and at least 10 years experience. CA healthcare or large institutional experience preferred. We are looking for a self-motivated person who can lead a project, manage a team of consultants and work effectively with clients and contractors to carry out the design intent. Knowledge of building codes, construction types and proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, MS Project and Excel are required. You should be organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills. JOB CAPTAIN: The candidate should have a degree in architecture, be CA licensed or working towards a license, have at least 5+ years experience with an emphasis on institutional projects. Healthcare and/or hospitality experience a plus. AutoCAD proficiency a must. Working knowledge of Revit also a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills essential. You will be responsible for the supervision and development of contract documents, coordination with consultants and architectural staff, and management of project electronic files.
