webMethods, Inc., the industry's first Web services infrastructure company is currently seeking a Professional Services Manager will be responsible for helping sales close deals as well as contributing to the Professional Services top line revenue growth and margin goals. This person will be responsible for supporting a group of consultants helping each direct report to experience career growth. Additionally, this role will focus on customer satisfaction by managing a region and all the customers that fall in that geography.

Essential Job Functions
Exceed revenue targets, while also keeping expenses in line with department goals.
Build customer relationships prior to and following a software sale.
Improve customer satisfaction for all customers in the specified geography.
Learn about and document production events from customers.
Manage customer expectations on product, services and any other issues related to webMethods.
Teach and coach consultants on how to improve themselves. This includes, but is not limited to soft-skills education and communications skills. This also includes motivating and energizing team members.
Complete quarterly and semi-annual reviews of consultants on time.
Manage communications from webMethods organizations such as Product Development or Senior Management to customers.
Execute 'key' programs as defined by PS management.
Attend customer meetings with Sales to help them close software deals.
Manage the delicate balance between what was sold and what can be delivered in a specified time frame.
Responsible for traveling 40-60% of the time to meet with customers or other webMethods departments.
Responsible for managing partners in the local geography and the process for getting resources from partners in a subcontracting arrangement.
Responsible for managing business including pipelines, contracts, utilization, delivered revenue and status reporting.
Updates to SEBL and Customer Production Events as needed.
Creative thinking about how to grow the webMethods Professional Services revenues and at the same time reducing costs.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Position Requirements
Strong demonstrated customer focus and customer management skills (minimum of seven years in customer-facing position)
5 years proven sales experience
Knowledge of the integration space is preferred
Proven track record of experience and customer success in a software or consulting company dealing with professional services.
Management experience is desired.
College degree is required, with an MBA desired.
Willingness to travel - mostly regional.
