Physical Therapy Technician ( PRN)

Physical Therapy Technician (PRN)

1. Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws, policies and regulations and standards affecting decisions and interpretations. Demonstrates knowledge of contraindications and/or safety issues with various patient types and applies them to treatment.
2. Develops rapport with patients and their families using approach common with that of health care team for purpose of obtaining maximum participation in activities.
3. Transfers, transports, and positions patients.
4. Follows written and verbal instructions.
5. Sets up and/or removes equipment or therapy aides for therapists as instructed. Performs routine and preventative maintenance on equipment as needed. Reports any defective equipment to supervisor. Communicates patient observations, responses, interactions, and non-verbal signs to therapist.
6. Orgazines patient treatment time and unscheduled time efficiently.
7. Assists in on-the-job training, education, and supervision of Physical Therapy Technicians, volunteers, and/or nursing staff.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year therapy tech
work experience in hospital or out patient rehab setting is
required.
**BCLS certification by American Heart Association.**
