Aegis Therapies is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant will perform some if not all of the following duties:
Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities. Confer with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and heat, light, sound, water, and electrical modality treatments, such as ultrasound.Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physical therapist.Measure patients' range-of-joint motion, body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.Fit patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches.Train patients in the use of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements. Monitor operation of equipment and record use of equipment and administration of treatment.

REQUIREMENTS
Physical Therapy Assistant
Carries out effective patient treatment plans to restore, compensate or adapt for loss of patient function, which are established by the licensed/registered therapist. Plans conform to federal, state and professional standards.
Qualifications
•Graduate from an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants or must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice as required.
•Must possess problem-solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
•Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
•Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
•Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and post-offer employment physical exam if required.
•Must be capable of performing essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
•Must have own transportation to travel between sites as needed.
•Must possess computer skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish specific job duties and assignments.
•Must meet Clinical Competency requirements upon hire and as needed.
