Physical Therapist*
Located in Modesto, Memorial Medical Center opened on May 1, 1970. Licensed for 300 acute care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in greater Stanislaus County. Memorial affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996 and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 313 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, skilled nursing services and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center, Memorial Heart Institute and Medi-Flight of Northern California.
The Physical Therapist is directly responsible for the initiation and performance of Physical Therapy treatments and other rehabilitation provided to acute inpatients. Responsible for physical therapy initial evaluations, patient care, documentation, physical therapy aide supervision and miscellaneous non-patient care requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy, BS or MS degree. Licensed by the State of California as a Physical Therapist. Minimum of five years of Clinical Practice is required. Minimum of three years supervisory experience is required. Documented training in patient assessment and evaluation is required. Performing and interpreting diagnostics tests and measurements to assess patho-physiological, patho-mechanical, electrophysiological, ergonomic and developmental deficits of bodily systems to determine diagnosis, treatment prognosis and prevention. Planning, administering, and modifying therapeutic interventions that focus on posture, locomotion, strength, endurance, cardiopulmonary function, balance, coordination, joint mobility and flexibility, pain, healing, repair and functional abilities in daily living skills. Possess current BCLS provider card OR acquired within 12 months of employment. Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County, including transcontinental travel. If MHA and/or own vehicle used on Association business, must possess valid California Driver's License and upon request provide proof of liability insurance. Preferred Qualifications: Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association. Membership in the California Therapy Association.
