Occupational Therapist/OT
General Statement of Responsibility: The registered (licensed) Occupational Therapist has direct responsibility for patient care.
REQUIREMENTS
Obligations include:developing and effecting highest standards and techniques of patient care.
competence in administration of prescribed therapy.
instructing the patient, caregiver, home health aide, or nurse in techniques not specifically required to be conducted by the therapist.
maintaining liaison with all members of health care team.
evaluating the effectiveness of the exercises rendered the patient.
documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner.

Education: Must be a graduate of a school approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year's experience preferred.
Knowledge and Abilities:Thorough knowledge of professional theory, practice, techniques, principles and equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document patient care effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with patients, other health care professionals, physicians, and the public.Special Requirements: Must hold current state licensure, CPR certification, drivers license, and automobile liability insurance.
