Manager, Security and Emergency Preparedness - GNF

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: EHSResponsibilities: *Develop Facility Security Plan associated with Site Operations.
Provide leadership for Emergency Response Organization supporting all Wilmington site operations.
Prepare, submit and get approval for Emergency Preparedness Plan
Oversee contract security force.
Develop and implement drills to demonstrate emergency response capability including significant interface with local, state and federal response organizations.
Expertise in complex regulatory framework and ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop programs and management systems to achieve and assure compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering discipline with experience developing and implementing facility security plans and emergency preparedness, preferably in the nuclear industry.
Minimum of 5 years experience interfacing with state, local and/or federal regulatory authorities.
Demonstrated experience with the preparation, submittal and approval of security plans requiring regulatory approval.
Demonstrated experience developing effective emergency response including drill/exercise design
Familiarity with state and federal nuclear regulations.
Experience with security requirements associated with the shipment and in transit protection of nuclear materials
Ability to interface effectively with operational and regulatory authorities in a matrix organization.
Ability to evaluate the external impact of business activities and decisions on potential customers, market/industry, media, government and communities.Desired: *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface at all levels of the organization.
Oral and written skills to obtain management acceptance of security and emergency preparedness programs
Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information.
Continually strive to increase knowledge with up-to-date information.
