EVENT COORDINATOR MEMPHIS COOK CONVENTION CENTER The position will advance and coordinate events for the facility, ensuring client/licensee needs are met and that building staff is informed of all event related activities. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning, organizing and controlling events within the facilities assigned. Develop assignment schedules for all staffing requirements for the proper presentation of event. Monitor performance of front of house staffing including patron services, security and medical and event staff. Handle patron needs and complaints during events. Prepare cost analyses and monitor final billings. Initiate required paper- work. All other duties/respon- sibilities as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Operate standard office equipment and p/c using MS Windows, MS Excel and MS Word. CAD pro- gram knowledge a plus. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules and produce accurate results. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Follow oral and written instructions and commu- nicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Irregular hours as directed by events.
