Job Function: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)Business Unit: Aerospace Automotive and Commercial Transportation - Alcoa Wheel & Forged ProductsJob Status: Full-TimeRelocation Eligible: NegotiablePosition Description: Under the direction of the EHS and Technical Manager - ASL, this position is accountable for:

Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating EHS compliance activities through functional teams and location EHS Lead personnel.

Assist in the development and implementation of business level policies, procedures and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Develop and implement EHS programs and management systems in order to maintain and demonstrate regulatory compliance, as well as compliance with Alcoa policies and procedures.

Coach and develop EHS Lead personnel at all (6) ASL locations, in all aspects of environmental, health and safety.

Assist in maintaining environmental and health/safety records and databases.

Coordinate the development and implementation of training programs for all required elements of the EHS management system.

Embrace and advance Alcoa Business System principles aligned to EHS practices.

Coordinate and/or conduct audits and inspections of plant activities, and train others on conducting such audits and inspections. Inform site managers of conditions which could lead to potential violations of laws and regulations, of company policies and procedures and/or situations which could compromise the health, safety and well being of personnel, the environment and company assets.

Create vision and direction to develop processes to improve EHS management systems and to develop an EHS culture.

Drive, support and advance a culture that is aligned with Company EHS goals and objectives, with continuous improvement in plant incidents, with reductions in frequency as well as severity.

Frequent and continual communication with all management and hourly personnel across all ASL locations as well as with contractors, vendors, regulatory agencies and corporate EHS professionals.

Compile measurements, analysis and evaluation of effectiveness including: accident and incident management, industrial hygiene monitoring, auditing and other appropriate means for obtaining periodic and systemic information and communicate results to management with a recommendation of necessary changes when appropriate.Job Requirements
Minimum Education Required: BachelorsMinimum Years of Experience: 5Minimum Travel Required: 25-50%Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical area is preferred

Minimum of 5 years EHS experience (10 years without degree) is required

Minimum of 5 years management experience which includes leading teams in multi-locations, coaching, employee development, and hiring, firing discipline in accordance with the law.

Excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities with the ability to motivate and influence others not under his/her direct supervision.

Perseverance and a desire to drive the organization to world class levels of EHS performance.
