ERP (enterprise resource planning) vendor PeopleSoft has launched an administration and information system aimed at colleges and universities.
PeopleSoft says Student Administration is designed to support new trends like Internet-enabled lifelong learning programmes, increased competition in the higher education market and a reduction in government spending on universities.
The system includes a central database for the details of everyone connected with the university and components for everything from recruitment to student financials.
