IT chiefs take on the Cisco City Challenge

The most muscular members of the IT industry will hit London's streets tomorrow in a spirit of intrigue and excitement, as befits the Cisco City Challenge. None of the 90 competitors know what their challenge will be, but they know their goal is to raise money for homeless children.
Router and switch manufacturer Cisco is putting forward three teams of three people, led by an Iron Man competitor. Also boosting the IT industry's physical profile is the MD of Internet Works Support and a team from Azland.
But the IT sector has a challenge on its hands. The NatWest team boasts a black belt in karate; the News International team is led by a woman who has run ten marathons; and DLA Recruitment is sponsoring a team of ex-Army officers.
All competitors are raising money through sponsorship for NCH Action for Children.
The 30 teams will race around the heart of London, competing against the clock in a series of mental and physical challenges. No details can be disclosed at present, but Silicon.com will have the full report on Monday.
