Firm unveils show-business job site

Executive search firm Brad Marks International on Wednesday introduced a career Web site for resumes, job postings and advice for the entertainment industry. Job hunters ranging from movie-studio management trainees to radio station CEOs can post resumes for free, and human resource executives can purchase full or partial recruitment services from the site, Jobsinthebiz.com.

The Los Angeles-based firm will have to compete against giant job boards such as Monster.com, which stores 18 million resumes and 500,000 job openings, and scores of other reputable sites with longer histories. According to Peter Cappelli, a professor of management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Web is home to more than 5,000 job boards where resumes and job opportunities are posted.
