Supervisor: Quality Assurance/Control

Purpose: A large manufacturer of vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements in or around the San Fernando Valley is looking for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Supervisor to join their team.

Responsibilities include:
Supervises the Quality Assurance Inspectors and Quality Control Chemists and Technicians in manufacturing environment.
Ensures consistent high quality of products and assists with the flow of production through inspection and product release.
For bakery production, also ensures compliance with all food safety guidelines.

Requirements:
Requires a four year college degree or its equivalent, preferably in chemistry, pharmacy or related science.
Licenses or certifications are not required but are a plus.
Requires two to five years supervisory experience in quality control, quality assurance inspection, audits and document review, preferably in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or related industrial laboratory environment. Requires competent knowledge of GMP's, SOP's, GLP?s and sampling techniques, chemical and microbiological testing, and auditing as well as plan operations.
Requires computer literacy and strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills. Requires attention to detail.
Must have proven supervisory, statistical and mathematical skills. Ability to work weekends may be required.

Location: in or around San Fernando Valley

Salary: 50k-65k DOE annually
