Senior Project Manager-Manager OTC

The Senior Project Manager will operate and manage cross functional development projects for the OTC consumer health group. He/she provides all necessary project planning, scheduling, tracking, managing and project direction required for the successful timely completion/launch of all assigned research projects/products to ensure the business unit delivers the project on-scope, on-time and on-budget. Develops and owns the R&D project plan(s) and time-line(s). Ensures the integration of technical and commercial information and activity to support category growth. Manages team and budgetary resources, issues and change. Analyzes project risks, contingency plans, assesses optimum path to minimize risks with functional expert input and raises to management for approval and resolution. Assesses critical data and contributes information for a go/no go project decisions. Assures both timely and quality project decisions. Keeps project issues visible to the strategic business leader, his/her functional management and decision makers through extensive communications in the form of meetings, meeting minutes, project approvals and updates, progress reports and memorandum. Supports portfolio management in the preparation of materials for portfolio and project reviews. May take on expanded project management role beyond traditional development projects e.g. analysis of key adjacency opportunities for the business unit.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS: Educational: BS or BA and advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum 10-12 years of related global and domestic Consumer Products experience and knowledge in Project Management, Product Development, Medical/Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing, global experience preferred. Demonstrated competencies in project management, team leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and decision making, strong organizational leadership, interpersonal and analytical competencies. Highly effective oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiencies and experience with MS Office tools. Category/Therapeutic experience in one or more areas: analgesics, pain, cardiovascular, and cough/cold. Must have OTC experience. BS in a related scientific area with 15+ years will be considered.
