QC Inspector - Vitamin and Nutritional Supplements

Immediate opportunities for QC Inspectors with a company that manufactures and packages high-quality vitamins and supplements. This is a brand new facility and an opportunity to grow in a nutraceutical manufacturing environment!Position Summary:
Will be responsible for assuring quality control of vitamin and nutraceutical supplement formulation, blending, solid dosage-form manufacturing, inspection and batch-record reconciliation. Will also be responsible for QC of blister packaging and bottle-package operation as well as inspection of incoming and out-going shipments. Will initiate as well as manage quality control tests and records. This is an excellent and challenging opportunity to learn and gain experience in a nutraceutical manufacturing environment!Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Review the staging of bottle packaging; walk through and review operations for bottle packaging room, blister packaging room, formulation weighing room, blending room, capsule filling room, blister boxing room, and warehouse.

Will check off paperwork and review for the following: lot number, quantity, label match, size match, and area cleanliness. Will sign off if matches and report discrepancies to operators.

Daily meetings with formulator and operations manager to summarize daily findings on QC inspections.

Sample, test and compile Near Infra Red spectral data for raw material and in-process QC analysis.

Perform formulation testing including: bulk and tap density tests, disintegration tests, moisture content tests, compression and fill tests for capsules and tablets.

Perform sampling, sample tracking and sample testing. Obtain samples of raw materials, blends, finished products and organize the sample storage. Send samples for outside lab analysis for chemistry and microbiology tests, review the results, and attach to appropriate product folders.Experience:

Bachelors degree in Science OR equivalent experience

Demonstrated background in quality control issues

Knowledge of current GMP's required

Solid oral communication and technical writing skills

Management skills will be a plus
