Process Chemist I

Purpose: A Pharmaceutical Company in Chicago is looking for a junior level Process Chemist for a contract position. A dedicated, eager individual who is used to working in a challenging, manufacturing environment is desired. This is a good opportunity for an individual to put a foot in the door of a strong company in a growth market working as a Chemist.

Candidates will execute laboratory chemical development experimentation in support of new product development as well as existing product improvement. While operating under the supervision of a Sr. Scientist, this candidate will execute these tasks using small to large scale-up processes. This individual will conduct basic laboratory chemistry experimentation under the direction of the Sr. Scientist. Typical activities may include but are not limited to: stoichiometry assessment, chemical calculations, experiment documentation, and more.

This individual will be working the day shift (First Shift). A BA or BS in Chemistry with 1-3 years of experience is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and chemical drawing software is required as well. Familiarity with HPLC is preferred.
