We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Techinican to join our Pharmacy Department.

Description:
Receives written prescriptions; fills / re-fills requests and verifies that information is complete and accurate.Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs. Addresses phone and electronic communications, responding to questions or requests. Is precise in following Pharmacist instructions to fill bottles with prescribed medications and ensure accurate affix labels.Assists customers / other healthcare members by answering simple questions, locating items or referring them to the Pharmacist for medication information.Prices and files prescriptions that have been filled.

Cleans and helps maintain equipment in the work areas; sterilizes glass and tools according to prescribed methods. Performs data entries to maintain patient profiles, including list of medications taken by the individual patients.

Supports appropriate inventory maintenace by ordering, labeling and counting stock of medications, chemicals and supplies and by entering inventory data into the computer.
Interphases with provided technology (Robot) to receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices and inform Pharmacist / Supervisor of stock needs and shortages. Handles and transports medications as required by the chain of command and medical center procedures.


Licensure/Registration/Certification : Pharmacy Technician Certification in the State of Florida is required.
Education : High School Diploma. Education commesurate with Certification requirements.
Experience : One year Certified Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital or medical center is preferred.
