We are currently recruiting for a Director to join our Pharmacy Department.

Scope:
Pharmacy Director plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs pharmacy practice activites within the Medical Center and oversees the quality of pharmacy services delivered through our affiliated partners (Aptium Oncology), owned physican practices, and at out Diagnostic Facility (Aventura Campus). This position is acountable for safety, regulatory and complance in addition to maintaing operational benchmarks in the are of Drug Cost, Labor Cost, Medication Management & Turnaround times. Responsbile for customer relationships among the Pharmacy and nursing service, physicians and other hospital departments. Manages, analysez, designs, develops and measures strategies for change to enhances operational efficiencies and effectiviness.

The Pharmacy Director reports to the Vice President of Patient Services at the Medical Center and manages a staff of 82, drug budget of $15M.

Capabilities:
* A demononstrated track record of successfully working with a building trusting relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff and memebers of the health care team.

* Experience working successfully with residents and students.

* Strong automation background.

* Experince in the creation, implementation and delivery of successful pharmacy staff development programs and performance improvement activities.

* Ability to put in place and manage clinical programs.

* Experience taking an active, leading rolein the P&T committee.

* Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage mutliple tasks simultaneousl in a hands-on manner. The ability to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as the arise.

* Knowledge of and experience with the standars and requitments of JCAHO and an in-depth understanding of state regulatory compliance isses and pharmacy laws. Director will serve as a Pharmacist of Record for the Medical Center.

* Demonstrated successful conflict resolution, consesus building and negotiation abilities.

* Ability to treat both internal and external consitutents as clients and customers, maintaining a flexiable customer approach and orientation that emphasizes satisfaction and quality.

Initial Objectives:
* Providing oversignt and management in striving to management in striving to maintain the highlst level of customer serive and implementing the pharmacy's 100% service resolution program.

* Montoring budgets to ensure labor and drug targets. Participating on our performance improvement by identifying trends through our quality dashboard.

* Strengthening clinical management through the hiring and retention of highly-qualified employees. Continuning efforts to aviod staff unionization.

* Implementing innovative qutomation and clinical initiatives to strenthen pharmacy operations.

* Collaborating with senior leaderhsip on the implementation of long-term strategies.


Eduation & Experience:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm D.

* A least 10 years of demonstrated successful administrative and management experience as a Pharmacy Director.

* Licensed in the State of Florida or willing to obtain licensure in Florida.
