Position Code: 3317Position Title: Pharmaceutical Sales - Oncology SpecialistWork Location: California-Silicon Valley/San JoseMajor Responsibilities: The Oncology Specialist will be responsible for promoting/detailing the Oncology portfolio in the San Jose/Fresno territory. The sales specialist is responsible for growing and maintaining the Oncology product base for Roche and will be measured on sales results. They will be a member of a divisional team that will be responsible for contributing to sales regionally and nationally.The Oncology Specialist needs to establish strong relationships and foster credibility with a variety of health care professionals. Daily activities include: one-on-one sales presentations to targeted physicians; arrangement of group selling programs; providing continuing education and value added services to physicians; preparing and negotiating contracts; and preparing and analyzing market data in order to identify customer and market trends. Strong involvement in community associations and societies provides for a rewarding relationship with patients, as well as physicians.Qualifications: A Bachelors degree with at least 4-5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required. Oncology experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales success and an ability to develop new business and customer relationships.
