Pharmaceutical Research Technician

Responsibilities: A pharmaceutical company in the Irvine area is seeking a candidate to fill the open position of Research Technician. The Research Technician will be responsible for responsible for supporting/assisting other scientific staff in the area of assay development and mammalian cell culture. Job responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Perform 80% laboratory bench work. Perform routine testing of antibodies. The methods include, but are not limited to, protein characterization, HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, ELISA and other related methods. Assist in optimizing new assays to characterize the antibodies of interest. Help transfer assays to other groups. Assist with formulation study, cell culture projects, media/buffer formulation, and keeping inventory of chemicals and reagents for the group. Collect, enter and analyze experimental data, and prepare summary reports. Maintain good laboratory notebook and follow GLP and cGMP documentation if necessary. Present study results in group meetings/seminars. Help with preparation and shipment of test articles to other collaborators.
