The candidate that best fits this sales position will be primarily responsible for these territories:
Torrance, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Glendale, Pasadena, and Covina.
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for directing a group of our pharmaceutical sales representatives who will be dedicated to meeting or exceeding sales objectives and enhancing the stature of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Each manager will supervise 10 to 12 sales professionals. This includes implementation of national and regional strategies for the promoted product line.The incumbent will be responsible for the hiring, training and development of sales consultants, performance evaluation and compensation, and efficient and effective account targeting and coverage. This position will require strong ability to work cross-functionally with other mass-market customer business units, Regional Account Managers, and the therapeutic business units. Incumbents will need to fully understand the assigned marketplace, develop actionable business plans for their geography, participate in the formulation of national strategy and programs and implement national and area strategy. Occasional overnight travel is required.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business related discipline)
3 or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience
At least two years of pharmaceutical sales management experiencePreferred Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to increase sales through facilitating relationships between managed care institutions
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a group towards meeting and exceeding objectives
