Global Medical Information provides Eli Lilly and Company with a strategic competitive advantage by maximizing our medical information capability to help ensure the flow of important medical information to and from our customers. You will support cross-functional, creative, task-oriented initiatives with the ultimate goal of providing timely, accurate, and balanced medical information about company products to internal business partners, particularly Lilly medical information affiliates and external customers. You will create and provide medical information to worldwide medical information affiliates, to Global Brand Development Teams, and to other functional components.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create global response documents (GRDs).
- Respond to affiliate request escalations in a timely, accurate, and balanced manner.
- Support Global Brand Development teams by answering medical questions, creating presentations, reviewing materials, performing literature searches, etc.
- Review and inform internal business partners of important published information on Lilly products.
- Track competitive products and disease states.
- Create and/or maintain medical information on new and existing Lilly products, competitor products, and disease states.
- Partner with internal Clinical Research Physicians, statisticians, and other team members to create scientifically-based and balanced GRDs.
- Maintain a knowledge base relating to the information and data used in responding to customer inquiries.
- Interact with compendia and various publishers.
- Maintain involvement and continue to build leadership in universities, Drug Information Association (DIA), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and other external organizations.
- Enhance partnership, ensure effective integration, and increase visibility within affiliate medinfo teams, medical, Global Medical Communications, marketing communications, and Global Brand Development team organizations.
- Establish and coordinate relationships with vendors.
- Develop relationships with medical information personnel within the region.
- Support coordination and implementation of GMI initiatives within the region.
- Deliver and/or support development of technology and tools to support and improve information sharing, call tracking, literature evaluation, and document creation and maintenance (RefMan, MeRMAID, Webpage, etc).
- Participate in departmental initiatives such as metrics, customer (affiliate) satisfaction, internal feedback, quality assessment, and other key projects.
- Leverage the partnership of Scientific Communications and GMI to maximize the value of our scientific data across the lifecycle of each molecule.
- Increase shared learning within team, across affiliates, and within GMI.
REQUIREMENTS
- PharmD plus Residency (Drug Information preferred) or significant clinical experience (4 years or more).
- Strong computer skills (powerpoint, databases, word-processing).
- Excellent verbal skills, presentation skills, and written communication skills (a writing sample will be asked for and evaluated).
- Ability to assimilates and communicate large volumes of medical information.
- Focus on the customer.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively multi-task.
- Work well without close supervision.
