Medical Director & Principal Investigator, Phase I, IIa Unit

Medpace, Inc. is actively seeking a Medical Director and Principal Investigator for a new confined (Phase I, IIa) Clinical Pharmacology Unit (CPU). This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the conduct of any clinical research involving human subjects with responsibilities including, first and foremost, the safety and well being of human subjects; having a wide knowledge of the ICH and FDA guidelines; supervising the quality of work done by part-time study physicians; choosing and working with outside specialists when appropriate; reviewing all protocols for scientific and subject safety matter; and ensuring that all study staff are trained to do their jobs, thus promoting subject safety.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry and have good communication, client relations, and scientific acumen. A minimum of a Medical degree is required and a MSc degree or PhD is a bonus. The APPI certification as a “Certified Physician Investigator” is preferred.

Relocation to Cincinnati is required for this position.
