Pediatric Clinical Specialist Job Description

Florida Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric specialist to provide clinical services for our neonatal intensive care unit. The opportunity to cross-cover general pediatric and PICU patients is also available. Our 61 bed NICU has 31 Level III beds and 30 Level II beds. Responsibilities include patient care rounds, clinical interventions, drug information, pharmacist and nursing staff development, pharmacokinetic and nutrition consults, protocol and program development, P&T and MUE committee participation, research opportunities and support of pharmacy satellite operations. Precepting clerkship students and residents is expected.

Infectious Disease Clinical Specialist Job Description

Our clinical pharmacy specialists are an integral part of the medical team with the opportunity to develop an innovative clinical practice. The specialist will have the opportunity to work closely with the infectious disease physicians to promote and develop an antimicrobial/antifungal stewardship program. This position will also involve teaching pharmacy residents and Pharm.D. students.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for both positions must have received the Pharm.D. degree, completed residency training, and possesses a Florida pharmacy license (or be eligible for licensure).
