Clinical Drug Safety Scientist

Responsibilities: Seeking a Drug Safety Scientist (DSS) for a long term contract position with a large pharmaceutical company in Wallingford, CT. The DSS provides technical and product safety physicians, including analysis and interpretation of safety issues arising from clinical trials and postmarketing surveillance. The position participates in the evaluation of serious adverse event reports from clinical trials, postmarketing sources and scientific literature. Additionally the DSS authors or coordinates the preparation of aggregate safety reports such as Periodic Safety Update Reports, Periodic Adverse Drug Event Reports, Quarterly Safety Summaries, Quarterly SUSAR Reports, and Annual Safety Reports, and Risk Management or Pharmacovigilance Plans. Candidates also assist with the writing of responses to adhoc safety queries, and safety sections of product labels.
