Clinical Admin Specialist/Oncology Clinical Development

Clinical Admin Specialist/Oncology Clinical Development needed for a 4-month contract. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Oncology Clinical Development Department in La Jolla.Daily responsibilities to include: coordination of calendar (such as arranging meetings, whether face-to-face, videoconferences or telecons, and making travel arrangements), booking attendance at conferences, telephone screening, processing of expense reports, filing and regular communication with cross-functional departments. Will be expected to partner with other administrative staff members in team setting.Other factors include keen organizational skills, knowledge of the organization, verbal and written communication skills, initiative, multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail. Professional demeanor and high degree of confidentiality a must, as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management. Willing to learn custom software packages for interface with expense and travel authorization systems. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointQualified professional should have a minimum of 3-5 years high-level administrative experience, Pharma preferred but not mandated. Candidate should possess direct experience with corporate atmosphere. Position requires extensive knowledge of PC based programs including MS, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a variety of other office applications. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in use of the Internet. The candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal and team player skills.
