Working under the direction of the Care Coordinator, Charge Nurse, Operations Manager or other supervisory or lead personnel, the Service Assistant helps to ensure the comfort of our patients and their environment. The Services Assistant provides patient transportation and a safe, clean physical patient care environment. The Service Assistant maintains clinical equipment and runs unit errands. The Services Assistant is also trained to respond to patient call lights and assists with hospitality services and basic, comfort measures (e.g. providing blankets, coffee, food tray distribution and room temperature adjustment) for patients in support of patient team members. In applicable departments or units, the Service Assistant may provide minimal age appropriate care under the direction of the Care Coordinator, Charge Nurse, Operations Manager or other supervisory or lead personnel.
REQUIREMENTS


High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Institutional cleaning and/or hotel/restaurant experience preferred. Previous experience in a health care environment including patient transportation and stocking is desirable.
