As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Scripps HospitalsDepartment: RADIOLOGY - DIAGNOSTICSJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: DaysShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: In conjuunction with the Radiology Supervisor, the Rad Tech Spec Lead is responsible for designing and implementing systems that ensure the Radiology staff provides appropriate age-specific care, education and imaging service to patients on a daily basis; ensures that staffing is appropriate and that daily workload is handled smoothly and efficiently; monitors for staff compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements; supervises the delivery of quality care to patients and participates in departmental QC and Performance Improvement activities; assumes leadership responsiblity in the absence of the department supervisor and contributes to annual performance evaluations, and to the progressive discipline process as necessary.As a team member, the Rad Tech Spec Lead will play an important role by collaborating with others and contributing toward our mission and values.SCRIPPS VALUESWe provide the highest quality of service.Scripps is committed to putting the patient first and quality is our passion. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: We welcome a California Certified Radiology Technologist with five years of experience in an acute care setting. CT and/or IR experience preferred, but must have fluoro license. Applicant must be a skilled communicator with the ability to lead, organize and motivate people. Applicant must be familiar with work flow processes and schedules. Ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills with a close attention to detail (procedurally and clerically).Experience/Specialized Skills:
2 - 4 years radiology imaging experience in an acute care hospital environment. Knowledge of patient focused care delivery, and shared governance preferred.Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
Certificate of Completion from an approved Imaging program (AA/AS preferred)Required Certification/Registration:
