Quality Assurance Analyst I



Responsibilities

Serve on project teams to ensure that customer expectations for system quality and integrity are met
Understand user expectations and performance requirements for software features and web page layout and navigation; assist developers in duplicating bugs reported by customers
Participate in software development to ensure corporate compliance with quality standards and procedures; identify issues and defects
Provide input into test plans and procedures, write test scripts, contribute to test reports
Review product requirements, design, documentation, online help, and job aids
Recommend program improvements or corrections to developers or project managers
Provide direct user support on specified products
Adhere to corporate information security guidelines; promote information security and the protection of corporate assets among coworkers
Document issues, procedures and technical functionality
Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of best practices in quality assurance theory and practices
Knowledge of applications life cycle and software development
Ability to document and perform applications testing, debugging, and implementation
Attention to detail and ability to work according to structured plans within specified deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Ability to adhere to established, systematic quality assurance protocols and plans
Knowledge of basic WAN/LAN architecture
Ability to read and write basic SQL queries
Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, with two years experience successfully testing software and/or performing software development oriented activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
