Environmental Health and Safety Administrator

Responsibilities:
* Responsible person with Hazardous Waste Management skills and background 40 Hr/8Hr-HAZMAT
* Responsible for submitting reports, etc., to AQMD/Fire Department and other agencies related to hazardous materials
* Filing fees to Board of Equalization, EPA ID and Dept. of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC).
* Hazmat/Waste inventory and emergency plans
* Responsible for implementing programs. E, M&S
* Must be capable of conducting training sessions & classes per OSHA requirements
* Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills
REQUIREMENTS
Keys:
* Minimum 5 years experience in Environmental Health and Safety issues (see responsibilities)
* Workers Compensation knowledge
* CAL ERA/OSHA, OSHA record keeping (300 Log), HAZMAT
* Manifesting
* Familiar or hands on experience with industrial hygiene (IH) monitoring
* D.O.T. Certified
* Familiar with 29cfr, 40cfr, ability to interpret
* Ability to lift > 50 lbs.
* Punctual and reliable person. Must exhibit good judgment, ingenuity, and personal as well as professional integrity.
* Self motivated (independent), ability to analyze data and identify hazards and implement preventative and corrective
measures/controls
* Must possess good communication and hands on leadership skills, ability to interact with all levels of management,
Project Management Skills
* Strong computer skills, Windows 2000, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.

Pluses:
* Experience in the aerospace related industry (aircraft) is a plus, but not required.
* Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
