Assists the professional nursing staff with the preparation of the patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Prepares, operates and ensures the proper functioning of equipment associated with the performance of these procedures. monitors and records events, including the performance of hemodynamic calculations. Operates digital processing equipment and performs quality control procedures as required. Practices radiation safety procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with patient transportation as needed. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience working in an interventional cardiac catheterization lab is preferred. Technical competence and proficiency in patient monitoring and all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage crises and prioritize pateint care needs during stressful periods. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to speak, read and follow directions in English.Required: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program or equivalent preferred.Required:Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification required. Current Invasive RCIS Certificate preferred.Must be able to demonstrate position-required behaviors in fulfillment of the organization's mission.
