ADVANCED PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Location: 2470 Faraday Avenue,Carlsbad,CaliforniaThis position is located near Southeast Riverside County* Advanced Production Technician: 1. Total care and maintenance of the animals and their facilities. 2.Active participation in the pheresing (bleeding process) and routine inoculation of the animals for antiserum production. 3.Accurate documentation of the animal pheresing (and related activities) for traceability; records keeping of the animals and their care. 4.Understands the requirements of the USDA with regard to the animals and the FDA (and related agencies) with regard to on-site processes. 5.Process serum components according to detailed documentation. Takes initiative and has the willingness to learn specialized skills and knowledge related to animal care and antiserum production. Adopts a broad perspective when prioritizing work and making decisions. Able to focus on key tasks despite limited time, resource, and distractions. Able to communicate effectively by reading, understanding and creating basic memos and messages. Views teamwork as a necessity for the success of the Ranch in meeting or exceeding company/department goals. EXPERIENCE AND PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND REQUIRED : Experience with animals and their care required; experience bleeding animals for research preferred; lab manufacturing experience preferred
