Position Scope:Respiratory Therapist: The position requires a self-starter with good communication and time management skills, who can work independently. You will evaluate, assess and educate patients as well as perform equipment set-ups. One minimum of one shift a week is available as well as on-call rotation.Position Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist is a licensed professional who provides direct and indirect patient care services under a physician's orders or plan of care and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Option Care, the state's professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for establishing and implementing care plans, educating patients/caregivers and evaluating progress toward goals. The Respiratory Therapist has obtained a nationally recognized registration or certification and additional competencies, allowing for independence in the practice of the specialty.

Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NMBRC).Current CPR certification.
Minimum two years respiratory therapy experience in home health care or hospital setting.
Valid and current driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance.Flexibility and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and oral) with team members, patients, caregivers, physicians and referral source.
Ability to work under stressful conditions.
Minimum one year of experience providing respiratory care, such as NBICU, PICU, TSICU or equivalent, caring for complex respiratory patients
Preferred Qualifications:
CRT or RRT
